Community Ideas
Community Collaboration Ideas
We are receiving feedback from community members on ways to improve our many systems. For example, community members have wondered about how to coordinate and collaborate with local law enforcement. Communities across the United States as well as in Oregon are engaging in hard conversations about how to ensure the safety of all community members. Trauma Informed Oregon is working with the community and the state to gather ideas to assist in starting the conversation on collaboration efforts across all systems. We welcome you to join this conversation by sending your ideas to info@traumainformedoregon.org.
Trauma Informed Action
Upcoming Regional Meetings
One of Trauma Informed Oregon’s plans is to hold four regional community forums in spring 2015, similar to our October kickoff in Salem. We are planning to schedule these during the early spring in Central Oregon, Southern Oregon, the North Coast and the Northeastern part of the state. We hope to offer training, consultation, or information about implementation of trauma informed care in conjunction with the forums. We’ll be reaching out to our partners in the children’s Systems of Care sites, healthcare, home visiting programs, youth and family advocacy organizations, the Early Learning Hubs, and other stakeholder groups to be sure we are as inclusive as possible in our invitations to attend. Stay tuned for more information in our February newsletter. If you are interested in participating in the planning in your region or want to be on the distribution list, contact us at info@traumainformedoregon.org.
