Defining a Supportive Workplace Community

February 7, 2024, 10am – 11:30am PT

In Defining a Supportive Workplace Community, we’re unveiling the concept of Unity in Well-being to ignite conversations around a trauma informed holistic approach to wellness and joy for workplace communities. The goal is to promote well-being as an important part of our personal journeys and for organizational wellness initiatives. (Presented by Steffannie Roaché.)

Steffannie Roaché, MS LPC, is an Asst. Professor of Practice at Trauma Informed Oregon and Portland State University with a focus on workforce wellness, equity and inclusion through representation and power-sharing within systems, and the promotion of resources that support healing for communities affected by racialized and historical forms of trauma. She has over 20 years of experience providing trainings focused on resilience, trauma informed care, and culturally centered practices, and nearly 10 years of counseling within group and private practices. square bulletMicro-Lessons for Trauma Informed Workplaces

Each month, a TIO team member or partner will cover one topic we think is vital to implementation of trauma informed practices in the workplace. We know your time is valuable, so we designed these lessons to be only an hour, with concise takeaways offering only the essentials.

Co-Regulation & Connection

February 21, 2024, 10am – 11am PT

Join us for our next Micro-Lesson topic focused on Co-regulation & Connection. Together, we will discuss what co-regulation is and why it is so important to have access to it in the workplace. We will discuss how we can create work cultures that are conducive to connection and normalize the need for support. (Presented by Danielle Grondin.)

Danielle Grondin, EMPA, is TIO's Organizational Change Strategist. Her undergraduate schooling focused on Sociology and Civic Leadership, while her lived experience illuminated the strengths and shortcomings of our current systems of care. She completed an Executive Master of Public Administration program at Portland State University in 2022. To learn more about Danielle, please visit her bio on our staff page.

Thank you to everyone who joined for the launch of the Micro-Lessons series in January with Dr. Ingrid Anderson's presentation on Regulation. If you missed it, you can find the slidedeck in our resources section: Regulation: Tips for Your Toolbox.
