Learners who register for the Intro to Trauma Informed Care online Training Modules submit their name and email address, which will be output on their Completion Certificate upon completing the course. In order to distinguish individual users, your IP address is collected and stored with the responses you submit to the quiz. These results are occasionally used for analytic purposes so that we can continue to improve the Training Modules. When this data is collected it is separated from the user’s name and email address and only collected in aggregate. Your email address and knowledge check/quiz results are stored indefinitely on the backend of the site so that we can re-send the results to you if you need them. This information can be deleted at any time by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have a feedback survey at the end of the Training Modules so that we can continue to improve this service. The feedback is sent securely to email@example.com. Only TIO staff have access to this email account. Submitted information is stored indefinitely on the firstname.lastname@example.org email account but can be deleted by emailing us at email@example.com.
Training the Trainer Application
To select individuals for TIO’s occasional Train the Trainer cohorts we request that users fill out an application on the TIO website. The information included in the application is sent to the firstname.lastname@example.org email address. Only TIO staff and consultants have access to this email account and see the contents of the application. Submitted information is stored indefinitely on the email@example.com email account but can be deleted by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
To help plan trainings, TIO uses Gravity Forms for registration. When you register for a TIO event, we collect your first name, last name, email address, job title, and organization. This is so that we can be in touch with you about the event via email, and make nametags for the event when the event is in-person. This information is stored indefinitely but can deleted by emailing email@example.com.

We use a security plugin as a security monitoring and auditing plugin to create a log of data about the ways that our website is used by those who have login access to it. This information is collected and retained by the web site administrator for security and auditing purposes.
The plugin logs a timestamped record of when a logged-in user takes the following actions:
- Logs in and out;
- Creates, deletes or modifies or views a post (be it a page, post or a post with a custom type);
- Creates, deletes or modifies tags;
- Creates, modifies, deletes, or approves comments;
- Creates, modifies or deletes widgets and menus;
- Creates, modifies (this including changing the password), deletes a user or views another users’ profile;
- Installs, activates, deactivates, or uninstalls a theme or plugin;
- Changes system settings such as reading, general, or permalinks;
- Takes actions on a bbPress forum such as creating a new forum, deleting entries, changing forum settings, etc;
The timestamped record includes the following information:
- The user’s login name
- The user’s actual name as entered when their account was set up
- The user’s WordPress role (Author, editor, etc)
- The IP address from which the user accessed the site
- The time and date of each action detailed above while the user was logged in.
The data captured by the plugin is stored by the web site administrator solely for security and auditing purposes.
Information captured by the security plugin is accessed only by TIO and is stored in the backend of the website on the website’s database. Information captured by the plugin is not shared with third parties except in the case of law enforcement requests.
