Micro-Lesson | Liberation Acupuncture: From Arrival in the States to Now

For June’s Micro-Lesson, we’re highlighting community efforts that embody TIO’s motto, “Promoting Prevention, Committed to Wellness.”
Community speakers Jamila K. Wilson and Sara Biegelsen, LAc from POCA Technical Institute (The People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture) will share an overview of the history of community acupuncture, including how it took root in this country via organizations like the Black Panthers and Young Lords.
Jamila K. Wilson is a POCA Tech student and the Interim Director of Climate and Disaster Resilience at United Way of the Columbia Willamette and Central Oregon.
Sara Biegelsen, LAc is a Working Class Acupuncture Punk, Clinic Manager at WCA, Partnership Coordinator and POCA Technical Institute Faculty.
