Workforce Wellness | Trauma Informed Communication: The Four Functions of the Brain
November 5 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am PST
Date/Time: Wednesday, November 5, 10am – 11:30am PT
This 90-minute training introduces participants to the science and practice of trauma-informed communication. Drawing on neuroscience and relational principles, the session explores how communication—verbal, nonverbal, digital, and meta-communication—can either foster safety and trust or inadvertently activate threat responses. Participants will practice strategies such as offering choice, using transparency, attending to tone and body language, and engaging in repair when communication missteps occur. Emphasis is placed on opening with grounding, holding space with curiosity, and closing with care.
