Trauma Informed Oregon exists in part because of the efforts of family members who advocated for strengthened policies and improved practices to address the needs of children, youth, adults and families affected by trauma. This page includes links to resources and information that may be directly useful to those with lived experience, including a number of centers in Oregon that provide support to trauma survivors.

Oregon Family Support Network

Oregon Family Support Network is comprised of families and youth working together to promote mental, behavioral and emotional wellness for other families and youth through education, support, and advocacy.

Youth ERA

Youth ERA is a youth led state-wide organization in Oregon devoted to improving the services and systems that support positive growth and development by uniting voices of individuals who have lived through and experienced various systems including (but not limited to) mental health, juvenile justice, education, and child welfare. There are drop in services and peer mentoring available.

Lines for Life

Lines for Life is a non-profit dedicated to preventing substance abuse and suicide because they touch so many families in our society. They provide addiction, mental health and suicide intervention services, treatment referral and drug prevention education. Hotlines and referrals are available.


Youth Line is a 24/7 helpline service. Teens are available to answer calls, text messages, and chats Monday-Friday from 4-10 pm. Feel free to contact us with anything that may be bothering you. No problem is too big or too small for the YouthLine!

Project ABLE

Project ABLE supports those struggling with mental health and co-occurring issues along the road to recovery. Through one-on-one peer support and wellness classes, thousands of individuals receive support that embraces human dignity, recognizes the capacity for individuals to recover, and promotes life-long empowerment.


PeerGalaxy is an active website featuring online and/or telephone accessible peer support, recovery and wellness offerings plus warmlines, webinars, and resources for individuals and families affected by trauma, addictions, mental health, grief, and/or distress.

Reach Out Oregon

The Reach Out Oregon website offers myriad resources including a warm line, online forum, various events and trainings, and a Web Chat that will connect family members with a Family Support Specialist. There is also Spanish language support. Community resources are available via an interactive map for all of Oregon's counties.
