From Ana Hristić, MA, LCSW, Special Projects, Trauma Informed Oregon
We’ve heard the call! TIO’s network of supporters, champions, trainers, and community partners have requested that TIO continue to provide a place for gathering, learning and celebration! In line with TIC, we honor that relationships serve as 1) a buffer to the ongoing stressors of life, and 2) a vessel for creativity and innovation in “the work.” Thus, we’ve developed this 2022 calendar of offerings aimed at Nourishing Oregon’s TIC Network.
List of Events
TIC Champions – All
Fourth Tuesday of the Month, quarterly from Jan 2022, 9am PST
TIO will provide an update and host the space, as we have over the years. All are welcome!
TIO’s Train the Trainer Graduates – Affinity Space*
Second Thursday of the Month, Bimonthly beginning with January 2022, 12pm PST
Hosted by TIO and other TT graduates; continuing to explore specific topics of interest related to the intersection of race identity and facilitating TIC trainings.
Public Offering – Trauma Specific Service Community Share
Fourth Thursday of the month, bimonthly from Feb 2022, 12–1pm PST
We’ll hear from healers around the country who use a trauma specific modality, and thus broaden our understanding and advocacy for varying healing practices.
Please (re)visit this page to find registration links for each of the offerings, and plug them into your calendar for 2022. We look forward to connecting and Nourishing the Oregon TIC Network!
A Personal Message
On a slightly different note (though still within the realm of nourishing the network!) I wanted to share that I’ll be leaving TIO at the end of January, to join Multnomah County’s Behavioral Health Division. I’ve been deeply influenced by my 5 years with this community, and carry with me your commitment, creativity, and unrelenting capacity to vision a world imbued with liberated wellbeing and joy. We at TIO have prepared for my departure, and my hope is that you will feel uninterrupted support… but, should you need anything from me in the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out: email@example.com. I trust that the power of our relationship(s) and work together will serve as a buffer during this transition, and thereby allow it to be a “see ya later” rather than a “goodbye.” In this way, the network continues to grow!
